Saloum Delta Private Tour

We will collect you from your hotel in Saly and head south towards the Saloum Delta National Park. After approximately an hour and a half of travel, we will arrive at the traditional fishing village of Ndangane. Once there, we will transfer into a motorized canoe that will take us deep into the protected wilderness designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As we sail along the serene waters of the Sine and Saloum rivers, which nourish the Delta, you will observe beautiful salt marshes, canals, and mangrove swamps. If fortune smiles upon us, we may spot remarkable birds such as pelicans, herons, cormorants, and kingfishers.

After this enriching experience, we will pause at one of the restaurants in the park area, where you will have free time to enjoy a delicious traditional meal (not included). Following your meal, we will visit a tribal village inhabited by the Niominka people, an ethnic group whose livelihood revolves around fishing along the delta.

During our visit to the village, you will learn about the ancient traditions and customs of these communities before we begin our return journey to Saly.
