Cabo de Gata Kayak & Snorkel Tour

Activity Overview

Your kayaking and snorkeling experience commences at your selected time at the Cala de Embarcadero. Located in Los Escullos on the eastern Almeria coast, we'll start with a brief lesson focused on kayaking safety and paddling techniques. You will also have the opportunity to practice directly on the beach!

Once familiar with the basics, we’ll set off into the sea, paddling towards our first destination. As we embark on this beautiful journey, take in the striking volcanic cliffs that define the Cabo de Gata - Nijar Natural Park.

At a midway point, we’ll take a break from paddling and dive into the refreshing water to snorkel. Keep an eye out for an array of marine life including schools of fish, starfish, octopus, and possibly even stingrays!

After approximately two hours of exploration by kayak, we will return to Embarcadero Cove, concluding our tour.

Meeting Point Adjustments

Provided the weather is agreeable, our activity will start at the Cala del Embarcadero. In the event of adverse weather conditions, we may relocate to a nearby site such as La Fabriquilla Beach or Cala del Cuervo in Las Negras. Should this occur, participants will be informed the day before.

Participation Criteria

Participants must be able to swim and paddle the kayak on their own.This activity is not advised for individuals with low physical fitness, pre-existing medical conditions, mobility restrictions, or those who are pregnant.

The total weight limit per kayak is 260 kg (573 pounds), accommodating a maximum of four individuals per kayak.
