Details of the Kayak Tour

On the day of the activity, we will gather on the shore of Agua Amarga, where a quick tutorial on paddle and kayak usage will prepare us for our exciting journey along the Almeria coast.

Following the introductory session, we will set off on the kayak tour within the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park. As we progress along the route, there will be pauses for resting as well as insights into the natural and historical features that make this region of Spain so remarkable.

We will also make stops at several volcanic coves and reef formations to enrich our understanding of the local geological landscape. At one of these picturesque spots, we will take a moment to enjoy a refreshing drink and nibble on an energy bar.

After recharging, you will have the chance to take a invigorating swim in the sea. The Mediterranean waters here are rich in biodiversity, so you may find yourself swimming among vibrant schools of fish!

Eventually, we will get back into our kayaks and paddle back to the starting location, returning approximately three hours after we set off.

Participation Criteria

Children younger than 4 and adults older than 75 are not allowed to join.Swimming ability and independent kayak maneuvering are prerequisites.This activity is unsuitable for individuals with low physical fitness, existing medical conditions, mobility challenges, or those who are pregnant.

The weight limit for each kayak is 260 kg (573 pounds), accommodating a maximum of four participants per kayak.

Alternative Meeting Points

In case of unfavorable weather conditions, we may initiate the tour at a different nearby location, such as Cala del Cuervo or La Fabriquilla Beach. Should this situation arise, we will notify you the day before the scheduled tour.
