Join us on a walking tour through the enchanting Garden District of New Orleans. We'll see the most beautiful homes in the city, such as those of renowned authors, poets, movie stars, artists, and sports legends, as well as Lafayette Cemetery.

Tour Highlights

We'll meet up inside Starbucks on Magazine Street and begin our walk through this captivating district. We'll admire the towering southern live oak trees, splendid crepe myrtles, and breathtaking magnolias.

During the tour, we'll see New Orleans' most iconic homes, including the Benjamin Button House and the residence featured as the "Coven" in American Horror Story. We'll learn about real and fictional people associated with this neighborhood.

The guide will reveal the deep history of the Garden District, exploring its role in the broader narrative of New Orleans and the dynamics of envy and distrust between "new money" Americans and "old money" Europeans.

We'll also visit Lafayette No. 1, the oldest Municipal Cemetery in New Orleans, known for its appearance in film and television, such as Interview with a Vampire and Double Jeopardy. Learn about above-ground burial traditions and notable individuals interred here.

Finally, after a 2-hour tour, we'll conclude our exploration on Washington Ave.
