Garden District Guided Tour

Join us on a walking tour through the enchanting "Garden District" of New Orleans. We'll see the most beautiful homes in the city, including those of renowned authors, poets, movie stars, artists, and sports legends, as well as Lafayette Cemetery.

Tour Highlights

We will meet inside Starbucks on Magazine Street and begin our walk through this district. We will admire the towering southern live oak trees, splendid crepe myrtles, and breathtaking magnolias.

During the tour, we will see New Orleans' most iconic homes, such as the Benjamin Button House and the residence featured in the "Coven" in American Horror Story. We will learn about real and fictional people who have lived in this neighborhood.

The guide will reveal the deep history of the Garden District, examining its role in the narrative of New Orleans. Explore the dynamics of envy and distrust that fueled the rivalry between the "new money" Americans and the "old money" Europeans.

We will also visit Lafayette No. 1, the oldest Municipal Cemetery in New Orleans, known for its role in famous movies. Immerse yourself in the tales of distinctive above-ground burial traditions and learn facts about famous people buried here.
