Tour Details

Meet your tour guide at Jackson Square, located on the banks of the Mississippi River, to explore one of the United States' iconic gastronomies.

Your guide will share the history of New Orleans' culinary traditions. Learn about the influence of foreign ingredients brought through the city’s ports, its waterfront location, and the cultural fusions that have shaped local recipes.

During the tour, there will be 4 stops to try 5 varieties of delicious dishes. You will start with the iconic beignet, a fried dough treat covered in powdered sugar, enjoyed traditionally for breakfast.

The tour continues to the French Market, the oldest public market in the U.S., which showcases vendors and a range of culinary offerings, from traditional dishes to fusion cuisine.

As you explore the streets of the French Quarter, you will sample various fresh seafood. Discover the quality spices that flavor local cuisine, including Tabasco, an essential addition to many dishes.

You will also taste gumbo, a famous dish representing the Cajun culture, which blends French, African, and Native American influences.
