Delve into the heart of New Orleans on this tour of the French Quarter. We'll learn about the European origins of this city, visit City Park & the Garden District, and remember the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

New Orleans Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel to begin the tour of New Orleans. The tour includes a stroll along the banks of the Mississippi River, visiting the French Quarter, and Jackson Square, home to the Cathedral of St. Louis, the oldest Catholic church in the United States, and the French Market.

We will learn about the European heritage of the neighborhood, which is influenced by Gallic invasion and Bourbon Spain. We will cross Esplanade Avenue, lined with houses over 100 years old, leading to City Park, the sixth largest urban park in the United States.

City Park offers golf courses, an art museum, and a sculpture garden. We'll also visit a cemetery to discover the unique burial practices in New Orleans. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Garden District, known for its historic mansions and the impact of Hurricane Katrina. After three hours, we will drop you off at your hotel.

New Orleans + Barataria Preserve Boat Tour (7.5 hours)

Optionally, you can book a boat tour of the Barataria Reserve, which follows the New Orleans itinerary. We will head south to cross the marshes of Jean Lafitte National Park, where we will observe rich flora and fauna, including over 200 species of wildlife, and possibly see alligators.

New Orleans + Oak Alley Plantation Tour (9 hours)

You can also choose to include an excursion to Oak Alley. This involves visiting the mansion and learning about one of the oldest and best-preserved plantations in Louisiana, with the New Orleans tour following this activity.
