Visit to Casa Nepeta Distillery

On this visit to the Casa Nepeta Distillery, you'll participate in a tasting of herbal spirits and can choose either a truffle hunting or botanical printing workshop.

Tour Options

During booking, you can select from the following options, both starting at Casa Nepeta, a 15-minute drive from Noto, lasting between 2.5 to 3 hours:

Distillery Visit + Botanical Printing

The experience begins with a 2-hour botanical printing workshop. Participants will gather leaves and plants from the estate to create artworks. You will learn to use a chalcography press and manual contact printing techniques, allowing you to create a small fabric tapestry or prints on paper to take home.

Next, you'll explore the organic aromatic herb fields at the distillery, learning about herbs like lesser calamint, marjoram, and thyme used for distillation. This will culminate in a tasting of herbal spirits, with optional pairings of local products.

Schedule: Monday to Sunday at 9:30.

Distillery Visit + Truffle Hunting

This option includes a 2-hour truffle hunt in the woods near Casa Nepeta for bianchetto and black truffles. Accompanied by a truffle expert and dogs, you'll search for truffles and may purchase them afterward.

Following the hunt, return to the distillery for a tasting of local herbal spirits, which may include the frozen Nepeta Spritz and regional products complemented with truffles.

Lastly, the experience concludes with a visit to the aromatic herb fields on the estate.
