Visit to Casa Nepeta Distillery

On this visit to the Casa Nepeta Distillery, we will have a tasting of herbal spirits and the option to participate in either a truffle hunting or botanical printing workshop.

Tour Options

During booking, you can choose between the following options, both starting at the designated time in Casa Nepeta, 15 minutes from Noto, and lasting between 2.5 to 3 hours:

Distillery Visit + Botanical Printing

The experience starts with a 2-hour botanical printing workshop. Participants will collect leaves and plants from the estate to create art. You will learn chalcography and manual printing techniques to produce a small fabric tapestry or prints on paper. Following this, we'll explore the organic aromatic herb fields and discuss the properties of various herbs. The experience concludes with a tasting of the distillery's herbal spirits, with an option to pair it with local products.

Distillery Visit + Truffle Hunting

In this option, participants will search for bianchetto and black truffles in the woods with a truffle expert and dogs for 2 hours. Collected truffles can be purchased. After the hunt, we will return to taste one of the herbal spirits and, optionally, a frozen Nepeta Spritz or regional products with truffle shavings. The experience concludes with a visit to the aromatic herb fields.
