On this tour to Cihuatán, you'll visit one of the largest archaeological sites in El Salvador and learn about the country's different cultures and ethnicities.
Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel in San Salvador at the indicated time and head north to the Pablo Tesak Museum and Cultural Centre, a journey lasting about 30 minutes.
At the museum, you will experience a journey across time with its numerous archaeological pieces that provide insight into El Salvador's past, which we will explore further at our next stop: Cihuatán.
At this archaeological site, you'll see a Maya pyramid over 3,000 years old. During the exploration of the ruins, we will discuss the pre-Hispanic culture and the reasons for Cihuatán's abandonment. You'll observe an old market, a games field, and ceremonial buildings, among others.
Afterward, we will return to the minibus and head back, dropping you off at your hotel 5.5 hours later.
