On this 2 day tour to the ruins in Copán, participants will explore significant Maya temples and palaces, notably one of the key archaeological sites in Honduras.
Itinerary
Day 1: San Salvador - San Andrés - Copán
Pickup will occur at 8:30 am from your hotel in San Salvador. The first stop is the San Andrés Archaeological Park for a guided tour of its acropolis and pyramids. Following this, the group will cross the border into Guatemala, arriving in Copán after a 4-hour journey. The afternoon is free for dining, exploration, or relaxation at the hotel.
Day 2: Copán - San Salvador
At 9 am, the group will visit the Copán Archaeological Park. Participants will have around 3 hours to explore the Maya ruins, which are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Various structures including pyramids and temples are part of the visit. At 1 pm, the group will return to El Salvador, with drop-off at the hotel in San Salvador scheduled for 6 pm.
3-Day Tour
Participants may opt for an additional night, with the third day following the same itinerary as Day 2.
Accommodation
This tour includes 1 or 2 nights of accommodation at a 3-star hotel: Hotel Plaza Copán, Don Udo's or similar. The stated price is per person in a double room.
