On this 2 day tour to the ruins in Copán, we will explore significant Maya temples and palaces, recognized as an important archaeological site in Honduras.
Itinerary
Day 1: San Salvador - San Andrés - Copán
Pickup from your hotel in San Salvador is at 8:30 am. We will visit the San Andrés Archaeological Park for a guided tour of its acropolis and pyramids. Afterward, we will cross the border into Guatemala, traveling for 4 hours to reach Copán. The afternoon is free for you to dine, explore, or rest at the hotel.
Day 2: Copán - San Salvador
At 9 am, we will proceed to the Copán Archaeological Park. You will have about 3 hours to explore these Maya ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will regroup at 1 pm and board the bus to return to El Salvador, arriving back at your hotel by 6 pm.
3-Day Tour
Optionally, an extra night can be added. On the third day, the itinerary will mirror that of the second day as outlined above.
Accommodation
This tour includes 1 or 2 nights of accommodation at a 3-star hotel: Hotel Plaza Copán, Don Udo's, or similar. The price is per person staying in a double room.
