Day Trip to El Tunco Beach, El Boquerón National Park, & San Salvador

On this day trip, we'll visit El Tunco Beach, climb a volcano in El Boquerón National Park, and walk along the historical centre in San Salvador.

Day Trip Details

The day begins with pickup from your hotel in San Salvador. After boarding the vehicle, an audio guide in English will be provided while we head towards the Pacific coast. First, we stop at El Tunco Beach for 3 hours of free time to swim, sunbathe, and sample local cuisine. Next, we will proceed to El Boquerón National Park to ascend the San Salvador Volcano, which has a crater diameter of over 1 kilometre (0.62 miles), allowing for photo opportunities of the caldera and surrounding scenery.

Afterward, we travel to San Salvador. While exploring the historical centre, we will pass significant sites including the National Palace, Metropolitan Cathedral, National Theatre, and El Rosario Church, all while utilizing the audioguide for historical context.

Significant events are commemorated at Plaza Libertad, Plaza Morazán, and Plaza Gerardo Barrios. The tour concludes with drop-off back at your hotel after a total of 10 hours.
