Day Trip to Puerta del Diablo Natural Park + Pupusa-Making Workshop

Join us on this day trip to Puerta del Diablo! Explore this Salvadorean site, take in the views of its volcanos and rock formations, and participate in a pupusa-making workshop.

Tour Details

After picking you up from your hotel, we will begin our journey to the Panchimalco district in the mountainous area of El Salvador. Upon arrival, you will see the giant boulders and learn about the legend of Puerta del Diablo. We will explore this natural park and discover its history and geological features.

Next, we will visit the crystal lookouts, where you can admire the volcanos of San Salvador and San Vicente. Prepare your camera for this scenic view with the Salvadorean capital in the background.

We will continue to see the views of the mountains of El Chulo and El Chulito until we reach the Puerta del Diablo Cave, where you can enjoy views of the town of Panchimalco.

Afterward, we will walk to Plaza Típica, a square with stalls offering Salvadorean food. At a traditional pupusa restaurant, you will enjoy thick cornmeal cakes filled with various ingredients and participate in a pupusa-making workshop.

We will then head to Planes de Renderos, a town ideal for experiencing everyday life in El Salvador before concluding this 4-hour tour with a return to your hotel.

Add an Optional Zipline Experience

If you want to add an adventure to your tour, select the option that includes a zipline experience in La Puerta del Diablo. After the tour, you will go to a zipline platform at the top of one of the rocky mountains, where you can zipline 508 feet (155 meters) and enjoy views of the volcanos and valley for 2 minutes.

The zipline activity is not available in September and October, and the maximum weight to participate is 260 pounds (118 kilos).
