Gulf of Fonseca 2-Day Tour

Day 1

We'll meet in the morning to begin our 2-day tour of the Gulf of Fonseca, known for being a significant natural harbor.

The first stop will be the volcano of Conchagua, offering panoramic views of El Salvador. Alternatively, you can opt for a visit to Las Tunas Beach to relax and enjoy fresh seafood.

Next, we'll have a guided tour of the town of Conchagua, which includes visiting an old church and a local market known for pupusas.

We'll conclude the day traveling to La Union for overnight accommodation.

Day 2

After breakfast, we'll head to the Central American Port of La Union to board a boat for our first stop at the island of Meanguera, where we'll learn about its volcanic origin and the convergence of borders from El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

Next, we'll visit Zacatillo to enjoy its gastronomy, followed by a trip to Isla Conejo, currently under dispute with Honduras, before returning to La Union.

Finally, we'll return to San Salvador, concluding the tour.

The 2-day tour includes one night's accommodation at a 4-star hotel and breakfast on the second day.

Pickup

This tour offers pickup from hotels in San Salvador and El Tunco, with a choice of pickup area during booking. For El Tunco, pickup is 40 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
