Description
After picking you up at designated pickup points, we will leave the city and head to the Ruta de las Flores, known as the Route 66 of El Salvador. During the trip along the picturesque road, our first stop will be Juayúa, located at around 3,300 feet. We will explore the charming historic center, including the church of Santa Lucía and the parish church of Cristo Negro.
Our next stop is Nahuizalco, where we will spend an hour. You will meet some speakers of the indigenous Nawat language and discover historic weaving and hat-making traditions.
In Apaneca, you will enjoy its colorful houses and the central village square, where you can meet locals and browse handicraft shops. After around one hour, we will continue to Ataco, situated at 3,900 feet above sea level. Here, you will see colorful street murals and a vibrant central park, immersing yourself in the culture and traditions of the area, with an opportunity to try local artisan coffee for a little more than an hour.
