Route of the Flowers Tour

No trip to El Salvador would be complete without visiting its most picturesque villages. Color, tradition, and artwork fill the streets of Juayúa, Nahuizalco, Apaneca, and Ataco, making the Ruta de las Flores (Flowers Route) a special experience.

Description

After picking you up at any designated pickup point, we will head to the Ruta de las Flores, known as the Route 66 of El Salvador. During the trip, we will pass through colorful villages surrounded by nature. Our first stop will be Juayúa, where we will explore the historic center, including the church of Santa Lucía and the parish church of Cristo Negro.

Next, we will visit Nahuizalco for one hour, where you will have the opportunity to meet locals who speak the indigenous Nawat language and discover historic weaving and hat-making traditions. Following this, we will go to Apaneca, known for its colorful houses and handicraft shops around the central square.

Our final destination will be Ataco, located at 3,900 feet above sea level, featuring colorful street murals and a vibrant central park. You will have over an hour to immerse yourself in the local culture and try artisan coffee.

If you prefer pickup at your hotel in San Salvador, there is a supplement of 10 USD per person, payable in cash on the tour day. Pickup at your hotel in Tunco incurs a supplement of 20 USD per person.
