San Salvador Layover Tour
We'll be waiting for you at the arrivals bridge at the El Salvador International Airport. From here, we'll travel to San Salvador for a guided tour of the city.
We will first stop at the Armed Forces Military Museum, which has 14 rooms showcasing over 35,000 artefacts. This includes items ranging from canons and coins to helicopters that highlight the city's history.
Next, we will walk through the city centre to visit Libertad Square, the oldest square in the city, and Rosario Church, known for its unique design by artist Rubén Martínez. We will also see Plaza Morazan, Plaza Barrios, and the new National Library (admission subject to the authorities), along with other significant points of interest.
Following this, we will proceed to the Monseñor Romero memorial, a key figure in promoting peace during the 80s.
We will then take a panoramic tour of the capital, including Plaza Salvador del Mundo and the Zona Rosa neighbourhood. To conclude, we will stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a dish of pupusas, a traditional local delicacy.
We will return to the airport after 4-6 hours, depending on your layover duration.
