Suchitoto Trip
After picking you up from your chosen meeting point in San Salvador, we will travel to a national park area known for its lakes and volcanoes. You will see the Santa Ana Volcano (Llamatepec), which stands at 7,812 feet. Following a one-hour drive, you will arrive in Suchitoto, recognized as the "City of the Flower Bird." You will encounter 18th-century buildings that attract many visitors.
As we walk through the cobbled streets, you will feel the colonial era's influence. We will also visit the church of Santa Lucia, one of the city's historical landmarks.
You will learn about Suchitoto's founding by the Pipil people, who settled in the 11th century. Their heritage remains visible in the artisan shops and art galleries throughout the village.
At the end of the visit, we will return to the meeting point in San Salvador.
