No stay in San Salvador is complete without taking an excursion to Suchitoto, known for its elegant architecture and picturesque cobblestone streets, ideal for experiencing Salvadoran culture.

Suchitoto Trip

After pickup from your selected meeting point in San Salvador, we will journey to a national park area with lakes and volcanoes. You'll encounter the Santa Ana Volcano, or Llamatepec, which stands at 7,812 feet above sea level. Following a one-hour drive, you will arrive in Suchitoto, recognized for its 18th-century buildings that attract many tourists.

As we stroll through the cobbled streets, it will appear as if time has remained unchanged since the colonial era. We will visit the historical church of Santa Lucia, a significant site in the city.

You will learn about the foundation of Suchitoto by the indigenous Pipil people, who settled in the area in the 11th century, with their cultural heritage visible in the artisan shops and art galleries that line the streets.

At the end of the visit, we will return to our meeting point in San Salvador.

If you prefer pickup from your hotel in San Salvador, a supplemental fee of 10 USD per person applies, payable in cash on the day of the tour. For pickups in Tunco, the fee is 20 USD per person.
