We will embark from the El Grove port, providing you with the opportunity to unwind during a scenic boat journey to Sálvora Island. Here, visits will include the historic lighthouse and the charming old village, all while surrounded by the stunning vistas of the Arosa estuary.

Tour of Sálvora Island

Our adventure begins at 10 am as we depart from the port of El Grove towards the picturesque Sálvora, part of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park in the region of Galicia.

Following a brief crossing of the Arosa estuary, we will arrive at Sálvora's dock where a two and a half hour guided tour of the island awaits. During this excursion, we will explore two notable locations on foot: the lighthouse and the old village.

Are you aware that the Sálvora lighthouse played a significant role during World War II? Soon, you will discover its fascinating history! We will also uncover the stories of the inhabitants of the old village, featuring its unique granaries.

As we venture along various trails, the wildlife of Sálvora will come to life before us. Prior to our return voyage, we will delve into the legends surrounding the island's mermaid, whose sculpture stands proudly next to the quay.

On our way back, the breathtaking Galician seascapes will continue to enchant us. We aim to arrive back at the port of El Grove by 2:30 pm.
