Sálvora Island Tour
At 10 am, we will depart from the port of El Grove to the island of Sálvora, part of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park.
After crossing the Arosa estuary, we will arrive at Sálvora dock for a two and a half hour tour of the island, visiting the lighthouse and the old village on foot.
The Sálvora lighthouse was significant during World War II. We will learn about its history as well as the inhabitants of the old village, including its special granaries.
During our walk, we will encounter the wildlife of Sálvora. Before returning, we will also hear the tale of the island's mermaid, with a sculpture located near the quay.
On our return, we will continue to enjoy the Galician seascapes, arriving back at the port of El Grove by 2:30 pm.
