Sálvora Island Tour
At 10 am, we'll depart from the port of El Grove towards the island of Sálvora, part of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park. After a short crossing, we'll arrive at Sálvora dock for a two and a half hour tour on foot, visiting the lighthouse and the old village.
The Sálvora lighthouse was significant during World War II. We will learn about its history and about the inhabitants of the old village, which features special granaries. As we explore the trails, we will also observe the wildlife of Sálvora. Before returning, we will discover the tale of the island's mermaid, with a sculpture located next to the quay.
On our return trip, we will continue to enjoy the Galician seascapes. We expect to dock back at the port of El Grove at 2:30 pm.
