Walking Tour of Oaxaca
We'll pick you up at your hotel to begin our tour of the city, discovering all of Oaxaca's nooks and crannies.
The first stop will be the Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, a prominent example of baroque architecture in Mexico. We will also visit the Museum of the Cultures of Oaxaca (ticket not included), located inside the old Santo Domingo convent, featuring a vast collection of archaeological objects from the Mixtec and Zapotec cultures.
Our walking tour continues through the cobbled streets of Oaxaca, arriving at the zólaco, the main square. Here you can find museums, artisanal shops, and restaurants typical to the city.
Next, we'll explore traditional markets, such as the Mercado Benito Juárez, offering a variety of black clay items and the famous "alebrijes", colourful fantasy figurines originating from this region.
After a day of discovering Oaxaca, we'll return to the hotels, arriving around 2 pm.
