On this day trip to Lake Tota, we'll visit the inland sea of Boyaca and explore nearby villages.
Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Tunja to start our journey to Lake Tota, known as the inland sea of Boyaca.
Halfway, we'll pause in the town of Paipa to enjoy Colombian coffee with cheese and a traditional almojábana. Then we'll continue to Aquitania for a boat ride on Lake Tota, Colombia's largest lake.
We'll visit San Pedro Island for its scenery before returning to Aquitania. We'll have a traditional lunch including an appetizer, freshly caught lake trout, and a beverage.
After lunch, we'll explore the Customs Museum of Aquitania with folkloric exhibitions and tour the villages around Lake Tota. Our first stop will be in Iza to sample its signature dessert.
Next, we'll proceed to Cuitiva and Tibasosa. In Tibasosa, we'll enjoy a feijoa sabajón, a popular local liqueur.
We will return to your hotel in Tunja after approximately 10 hours from the pickup time.
