Oceta Moor Day Trip

On this day trip from Tunja to the Ocetá moor, explore one of the most stunning destinations of Boyaca.

Why Visit Boyaca Region?

We will pick you up from your Tunja hotel at the scheduled time and head northeast to discover the exquisite landscapes of the Boyacá region.

After approximately 2.5 hours, we will arrive at Mongui. Here, we will begin a hiking expedition to Ocetá, known as the most beautiful moor in the world, characterized by a vast expanse of frailejones, an endemic plant.

The hike to the Ocetá Moor can last between 4 and 6 hours, depending on the group's pace. Along the ecological trail, participants will have the chance to appreciate the region's natural treasures and learn about various species of fauna and flora present in the ecosystem.

After the hike, we will return to Mongui for a traditional meal, which includes an appetizer, a main course of fish or meat, and a drink.

Following the meal, we will return you to your hotel, about 10 hours after pickup.
