On the morning of your tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Phnom Penh and taken north of the city to visit the archaeological park of Sambor Prei Kuk. This historic royal sanctuary and former capital city dates back to the 7th century, making it several hundred years older than Angkor, and placing it among Cambodia's oldest temple complexes.

After a journey of around three hours, you'll begin your guided visit of the ancient site, hearing about its history while you take in views of the archaeological complex. You'll pass temples that have been taken over by tree roots and branches, experiencing a sense of discovery in places yet to be overrun by mass tourism.

After exploring the site's architectural structures and learning about the prasats, octagonal towers, Shiva lingams, yonis, ponds, and statues of lions, you'll have a break at a local restaurant for lunch.

Following your meal, you'll be taken back to your hotel in Phnom Penh.
