Description
We will pick you up from your hotel in Phnom Penh at the scheduled time using tuk-tuks for our tour of Silk Island. The adventure begins with a ferry ride across the Mekong River, leading us to our destination. Once we arrive, we will tour the island, passing through rice and vegetable fields and visiting the local open-air market.
We will then visit a local family's home to learn about the history of silk weaving in Cambodia, a tradition maintained over generations. You will gain insights into essential techniques, from breeding mulberry worms to the hand weaving of fabrics on centuries-old looms. An aperitif featuring various fruits and snacks will also be provided.
The activity lasts a total of 4.5 hours, culminating back at the starting point.
