Day Trip Details
At the agreed time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Phnom Penh and head northwest in an air-conditioned vehicle to Wat Vipassana Dkurak, located about 30 kilometers away. We’ll stop in the Cham village, the heart of Cambodia’s Muslim community, to learn about the Cham people’s traditions.
Next, we’ll continue to Wat Vipassana Dkurak, exploring its significance as a Buddhist sanctuary and the number of worshippers it attracts yearly.
From Wat Vipassana Dkurak, we’ll proceed to Udong for a picnic lunch. After lunch, we will visit several temples, including three large stupas that house the ashes of ancient kings. We’ll discuss the history of these monuments and stop by the Vihara of the 18-Cubit Buddha, which remains a notable site despite war damage.
On our return to Phnom Penh, we’ll visit Kompong Luong to explore traditional crafts and unique handmade items on display.
