Olbia Archaeology Tour

At 2 pm we'll meet at Molo Brin near Olbia's marina. We will begin the tour of the archaeological sites of this Sardinian city by tuk tuk, exploring the significant historical details of the area.

During our tour of Olbia, we will stop at various monuments for self-exploration, utilizing the provided audioguide in English for insights.

The first stop will be the Basilica of San Simplicio, a Romanesque temple with origins in the 11th century. Next, we will visit the Roman aqueduct of Olbia, which supplied water from the nearby Cabu Abbas mountain, followed by an ancient Roman cistern used for rainwater storage.

Before the Romans, the area was home to a Nuragic settlement from the Bronze Age. Here, we will see the ruins of the sacred well Sa Testa and the Giants' Grave of Su Mont'e s'Abe, notable for its large rocky constructions reaching 92 feet (28 meters).

Lastly, we will visit the exterior of the Castello di Pedres, a 13th-century castle that once featured four towers, one of which remains today.

We will conclude the tour at 5:30 pm at the starting point.
