Ria Formosa Cruise

Activity Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at Dr. César Oliveira de Fuzeta Avenue to board the boat for a pleasant cruise along the Ria Formosa. We will sail around the Ria Formosa Natural Park, observing small fishing villages and diverse wildlife and vegetation. Over 20,000 birds are found in this park, and we will attempt to spot some unusual species during our cruise.

The wetlands will lead us to the island of Armona, where we will have half an hour of free time to explore. This is an opportunity to swim in the golden sandy beaches or sample the local cuisine.

Afterward, we will reconvene at the boat to continue sailing along the estuary, learning about the significance of shellfishing as we pass by some oyster farms.

Our boat tour of the Ría Formosa islands will conclude back at the original departure point after a total of 2 hours.
