Want to admire the beautiful Olhao sunset from a unique perspective? On this cruise, we'll sail through the Ria Formosa Natural Park while enjoying the magical atmosphere at dusk.

Ria Formosa Sunset Cruise

At 5.30 pm, we'll meet at the port of Olhao to start this boat trip along the Ria Formosa at sunset. We'll tour one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal as we admire the sun go down over the horizon.

During the tour, we'll discuss the characteristics of this significant wetland in the Algarve region. We'll learn about the environmental characteristics while observing the contrast between the dark blue of the ocean and the clear water of the estuary.

We will explore the local flora and the area’s remarkable bird diversity. Keep an eye out for the chance to spot some of these birds during the tour.

Before concluding the boat trip, we will make a 40-minute stop at Culatra, followed by a visit to Praia Deserta for another 40 minutes. This beach is renowned as one of the best in the Algarve and is only accessible by boat. The cruise will continue around the island of Armona while we enjoy a refreshing drink. The grand finale will be the wonderful sunset view on the Ria Formosa from the boat.

Finally, we will return to the port of Olhao after a two-and-a-half hour cruise along the Ria Formosa.
