Travel to one of the rural Quechuan towns in the Peruvian Andes and learn about their cultures on this trip to the Huilloc community.

1-Day Tour

At the scheduled time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ollantaytambo and make our way to the Huilloc community to experience life for this indigenous tribe in the Cusco region.

Upon arriving, we'll be welcomed by members of a craftswomen's cooperative, who will demonstrate the types of fabrics they use and discuss their relationship with Andean culture and history.

Next, we'll have a lunch of Pachamanca, cooked in a natural oven, including chicken and potatoes or sweet potatoes. Before heading back, you'll have the chance to buy a fabric souvenir made by one of the craftswomen.

After 6 hours, you'll be brought back to your hotel where the tour will conclude.

2-Day Tour

For a more relaxed experience, you can select the 2-day tour option, where you'll enjoy an entire day with a Huilloc family and spend a night as a guest in one of their houses.

This tour includes learning about their daily customs, visiting a glacial lake, and interacting with alpacas. We'll have traditional lunch with a family, prepared using the Pachamanca method.

We'll also visit a textile market to see local crafts. The next morning, enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast with tea, oats, eggs, potatoes, and ponche de habas.

After experiencing the local culture, the tour will conclude back at your hotel in Ollantaytambo.
