Lipica & Skocjan Caves Day Trip

At 9 am, pickup will be from your hotel in Opatija. You will travel from Croatia to Slovenia to visit Lipica and see the Lipizzan horses.

Your first stop will be a farm to learn about this breed and its significance to Slovenians, including its depiction on one of their coins. Information about the daily care of Lipizzan horses will be shared, and you will have the opportunity to interact with them.

Next, visit the Lipikum Museum, an ideal location to learn about dressage. Depending on the tour date, you might attend a live Lipizzan horse show.

The tour continues to the Skocjan Caves, formed along the Reka River. Here, you will explore the cave system, observing stalactites, stalagmites, water rapids, and the Skocjan lakes. You will see the largest underground canyon in the world.

Finally, you will return to Opatija and arrive back at your hotel around 2 pm.
