Let's cross over to Slovenia and visit the Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle. You'll explore important karst caves in Europe and the biggest castle built within a cave.

Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle Excursion

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Opatija at 9 am and drive to the Postojna Cave.

After an hour and a half, we'll reach the most famous and visited karst cave in Europe. You'll see impressive rock formations, including stalagmites 5 meters long.

We'll continue exploring the cave on a train that will take us to areas not accessible on foot. During this ride through the Postojna Cave, we'll see Murano glass chandeliers, a ballroom, and olms, also known as the 'dragon's offspring'.

Our next stop will be Predjama Castle, a unique fortress perched over 120 meters high. It is the only cave castle in Europe still standing.

We'll enter the fortress and explore its rooms while hearing the stories of this place, including the legend of Erasmus of Predjama, the Slovenian Robin Hood.

After the guided tour, we'll return to the minibus and head back to Opatija, dropping you off at your hotel around 4 pm.
