Let's cross over to Slovenia and visit the Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle. You'll explore the most important karst caves in Europe and the biggest castle built within a cave.

Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle Excursion

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Opatija at 9 am and drive past the border with Slovenia to the Postojna Cave.

After an hour and a half, we'll reach the most famous and visited karst cave in Europe. This visit will be worth the early morning as we venture into the Postojna Cave and admire the incredible rock formations, including stalagmites 5 meters long.

We'll continue exploring the cave on a train, accessing areas not accessible on foot. During this ride, we'll see Murano glass chandeliers, a ballroom, and olms, known as the 'dragon's offspring'.

Our next stop will be Predjama Castle, a fortress perched on a cliff over 120 meters high. It is the only cave castle in Europe still standing.

We'll enter the fortress and explore its rooms while hearing stories, including the legend of Erasmus of Predjama, the Slovenian Robin Hood.

After the guided tour, we'll return to the minibus and head back to Opatija, dropping you off at your hotel around 4 pm.
