Tour Overview

Our adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Oranjestad at the specified time, followed by a comfortable minibus ride to the Aruba Arikok National Park, a hidden treasure of this Caribbean paradise. Are you ready to unveil its hidden wonders on foot?

Guided by a knowledgeable expert in the region's flora and fauna, we will traverse this protected area, characterized by its limestone cliffs, volcanic structures, and mountains that embrace the sea—an exploration you'll cherish!

As we make our way through Arikok, our guide will share tales about the renowned Ayo rocks, venerated by the island's indigenous communities. These monumental rock formations pepper the landscape of the park, contrasting with Aruba’s otherwise flat terrain. What stories do they hold? Were they shaped by nature or man’s hands? We’ll uncover these questions and more throughout our hike.

Additionally, we will take time to visit the Arikok Visitor Centre, which showcases the key wildlife and plant species endemic to the park. Expect to see the whip lizard, the cat's eye snake, and the vulnerable rattlesnake, among other inhabitants displayed at the centre.

After approximately three and a half hours of exploration in the Arikok National Park, we will conclude our hiking journey and return you to your hotel in Oranjestad.

Sunrise Hiking Experience

If you wish to experience the Aruba Arikok National Park during one of the day's most remarkable moments, we highly recommend choosing the 5:30 am time slot. We will pick you up at your hotel before dawn and make our way to the park. Upon our arrival, we will embark on a hiking trail of around 3.72 miles (6 km), witnessing the transformation of this natural wonder as the sunrise unfolds.

As the island shakes off its slumber, you will marvel at the hidden vistas of the Aruba Arikok National Park until we reach the Conchi natural pool, where you can enjoy snorkeling amidst volcanic rock formations. Can you envision starting your day with a refreshing swim in this idyllic setting? It promises to be a thrilling experience!

Following our swim, we will continue to explore the various highlights of Arikok, deepening our understanding of its biodiversity. After three hours of discovery, we’ll conclude the journey and return you to your hotel in Oranjestad.
