Morella Day Trip

The medieval charm of Morella in Spain awaits on our Morella Day Trip. We'll set off from Oropesa del Mar to explore its artistic and cultural heritage.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office and board our minibus for the 71-mile (115 kilometre) journey to Morella.

Morella is recognized as one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. We'll witness the impressive San Miguel Gate and head into the old quarter.

Morella features stately mansions, stone arches, and cobbled streets, all reflecting its centuries-old history. As we stroll through its historic center, we'll discuss its medieval heritage, marked by a mile-long (2-kilometre) city wall, 10 towers, and 7 gates.

At midday, there will be free time to eat lunch and sample local cuisine. Following lunch, we'll visit an artisanal honey shop, perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

Our next stop will be the Morella Basilica, an iconic religious building in the region. We'll appreciate its interior decorations.

We'll also explore the exterior of Morella Castle and learn about its historical significance. After this, you'll have 1 hour of free time to visit the castle, have lunch, or shop.

Finally, we will return to Oropesa del Mar, completing the trip after a total of 10 hours.
