Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Day Trip

We'll meet at 9 am in front of the Tourist Office located in Plaza París, then take a 1-hour bus ride to Traiguera.

Upon arrival, we will visit an estate with thousand-year-old olive groves, learning about their cultivation and the production of Traiguera's olive oil. A tasting of this oil will accompany a selection of cold meats.

Next, we will head to Cervera del Maestre, walking through cobbled streets and visiting the Oil Mill Visitor Centre. We'll see key monuments, including the old medieval fish market, the Church of the Assumption, and Cervera del Maestre Castle. Discussions will include the fortress' role during Spain's Reconquista period.

After the tour, we will return to Traiguera to visit the Royal Sanctuary of the Virgen María de la Font de la Salud. We will explore its guest house, priests' house, kitchen, and hermitage, while discussing its history from the reign of Charles V.

We will conclude our day trip at 2:30 pm back at the starting point.
