Join us as we venture into the picturesque villages surrounding Oropesa del Mar! Our meeting point is at 9 AM in front of the Tourist Office, situated in the Plaza París. Once everyone has gathered, we will board our bus and embark on a one-hour journey to the charming village of Traiguera.



Upon arrival, we will step into a land adorned with thousand-year-old olive groves. Here, we will learn the secrets behind the thriving cultivation of these remarkable trees, one of which traces its roots back to 971! The experience will also include a glimpse into the production process of olive oil from Traiguera, complemented by a delightful tasting of this precious liquid paired with a selection of cold meats.



Next, we will continue our journey to the captivating town of Cervera del Maestre. Wander through its enchanting cobblestone streets as we pause at the Oil Mill Visitor Centre to admire the most notable landmarks. Among these are the historic fish market, the Church of the Assumption, and the formidable Cervera del Maestre Castle. During our exploration, we will delve into the fortress's significance during Spain's Reconquista era.



Following our insightful tour, we will board the bus once more to return to Traiguera, where another highlight awaits us at the Royal Sanctuary of the Virgen María de la Font de la Salud. Here, we will uncover the intriguing history dating back to the reign of Charles V, as we tour its guest house, priests' residence, kitchen, and hermitage.



As our day comes to an end, we will bid farewell and return to our original meeting spot at 2:30 PM.
