Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Day Trip

Join us for a day trip exploring the villages around Oropesa del Mar. We will meet at 9 am in front of the Tourist Office located in Plaza París and depart on a 1-hour bus ride to Traiguera.

Upon arrival, we will visit an estate with thousand-year-old olive groves, learning about their successful cultivation, with the oldest tree dating back to 971. We will also explore the production of Traiguera's olive oil and taste this accompanied by a selection of cold meats.

Next, we will proceed to Cervera del Maestre, where we will walk through cobbled streets, visit the Oil Mill Visitor Centre, and see notable monuments such as the old medieval fish market, the Church of the Assumption, and Cervera del Maestre Castle, discussing its role during Spain's Reconquista period.

After the guided tour, we will return to Traiguera to visit the Royal Sanctuary of the Virgen María de la Font de la Salud, discussing its history dating back to the reign of Charles V while exploring its guest house, the priests' house, the kitchen, and the hermitage.

We will conclude our day trip at 2:30 pm back at the starting point.
