Did you know that Villafamés is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain? Come to this area of Castellón and discover its monuments and scenery.

Villafamés Day Trip

At 3:30 pm, we'll meet outside the Oropesa del Mar Tourist Office to start the trip. We will travel for 30 minutes onboard a minibus to the town of Villafamés.

Upon arrival, we will begin a guided tour of the historic centre of the village, declared a Site of Cultural Interest. We will discuss how its strategic location on a hill has influenced its history.

We will see the façade of the church of La Asunción, the characteristic stone houses, and the castle dating back to the times of Muslim rule. Information about these buildings will be provided.

Next, we will visit Roca Grossa, a large stone formation filled with mystery. Here, you can make three wishes; however, according to legend, only one will be granted. We will share the myths related to this monument during the tour.

The final stop will be at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villafamés, located in the Batlle Palace. We will explore numerous works of art from the 1920s to the present, concluding an informative excursion.

We will finish the tour at 7:30 pm, dropping you off at Oropesa del Mar.
