Trekking Adventures in the Gulf of Orosei

The trekking itinerary varies based on the day you select. All excursions commence at 8:30 am from Piazza del Popolo in Orosei and conclude at the same location:

Cala Luna Trek (Fridays)

On Fridays, our journey emphasizes the breathtaking shores of the Gulf of Orosei. We'll travel via all-terrain vehicle through this national park to reach Cala Gonone, the gateway to a four-and-a-half-hour trek. As we progress, enjoy panoramic views of the Sardinian coastline and its dramatic cliffs, culminating at Cala Luna—one of the island's most picturesque bays.

Upon arrival, you will have two and a half hours to savor your packed lunch and take a refreshing swim. Once you’re ready, we'll proceed along the Codula di Luna canyon to complete our loop back to the starting point. Expect to return to Orosei by approximately 6:30 pm.

Gorropu Gorge Trek (Saturdays)

If Saturday is your chosen day, prepare to explore the remarkable Gorropu Gorge. An all-terrain vehicle will transport us to this renowned canyon formed by the Flumineddu River, where we will embark on a challenging five-hour trek. Throughout this journey, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the unique local flora and fauna, all while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of one of Europe's deepest canyons.

We'll allocate an hour for you to relax and recharge before we head back to the starting point, wrapping up the activity by 4:30 pm.

Mount Tiscali Trek (Sundays)

If you join us on a Sunday, we will take a jeep to Mount Tiscali for another four-and-a-half-hour trekking experience. As we trek the mountain, marvel at the stunning vistas and embark on a search for a Nuragic village. We'll delve into the beliefs and lifestyles of this ancient civilization, exploring their defensive towers and other enduring structures.

Once the exploration concludes, you’ll have an hour of free time for a nature-based lunch before making your way back to Orosei around 3:30 pm.
