After being abandoned for centuries post destruction in the Thirty Years' War, Wilhelm II of Germany restored it in 1900 through expert Bodo Ebhardt. Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg Opening Hours
The Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg is open during these hours:
January, February and March: 9:30 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pmApril, May, June, September, October, November, and December: 9:30 am to 6 pmJuly and August: 9 am to 7 pm
Final admission is 1 hour before closing. The castle is closed on January 1st and December 25th and 26th. On Mondays, the castle opens at 10:30 am.

Free admission is available on the first Sunday of each month from November to March, and during European Heritage Days.
