Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at Kyoto-Hachijoguchi Station and head to Nara, the capital of Japan during the Middle Ages.

In Nara, we'll start with a visit to T?dai-ji Temple, dedicating about 40 minutes to admire the Great Buddha, the largest wooden statue in the world.

Next, we'll visit Nara Park to see sika deer grazing. Afterward, we'll spend about 30 minutes at the Kasuga Taisha Shinto shrine, known for its bronze and stone lanterns.

We'll then travel to Uji, famous for matcha tea production, where you'll have 45 minutes of free time for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we’ll tour Uji and visit Byodoin Temple, one of Kyoto's oldest monuments.

To conclude the day, we'll participate in a matcha tea workshop, learning about its properties and ceremony, and tasting its flavor.

Finally, we'll return to Kyoto and drop you off at the starting point approximately eight hours after the day trip begins.
