Free Tour of Kyoto

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sanjo Station to start this free tour of Kyoto.

First, we'll walk along the banks of the Kamogawa River while we learn about the history of Kyoto, the capital of Japan from 794 to 1868. The tour continues in Gion, the geisha district, where we'll discover who these women are and admire the traditional wooden houses built in the Machi-Ya architectural style.

The next stop is Chion-in Temple, one of the main Buddhist temples in Kyoto. After learning about its history, we proceed to Hisashi-Yama, a significant historical area, where we explore the stories of ancient Japanese emperors and shoguns.

After approximately 2.5 hours of exploration, we'll conclude our tour in front of the Pagoda Yasaka.
