Fushimi Inari Hike

Meet at your chosen time at Tofukuji Station to start walking towards the Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine, approximately 20 minutes away via a lesser-known path. Upon arrival, embark on a guided hiking tour covering 5 kilometres (3 miles) to learn about this Shinto shrine established in 711, dedicated to the kami of rice and sake.

Enjoy the beautiful surroundings, including natural bamboo forests and a small Inari Shrine. The route traverses trails less frequented by tourists for a more authentic experience. After the hike, walk through the iconic Tori gates featured in the movie Memoirs of a Geisha, culminating at the highest point of Fushimi Inari-Taisha for a panoramic view of Kyoto.

This 3-hour tour typically concludes around the main shrine, with routes subject to variation.
