Would you like to visit the Arashiyama bamboo forest? On this tour, we'll see this natural site along with two temples.
Description
At the designated time, we'll meet at Saga-Arashiyama Station and walk to the bamboo forest, one of Kyoto's natural attractions.
The bamboo plant is integral to Japanese culture. We'll discuss the economic and spiritual significance of bamboo in Japan. You may hear the sound produced by the wind through the bamboo trees.
As we walk through the forest, which features trees over 20 metres (65 ft) tall, we'll encounter two Buddhist temples. Here, we'll learn about their history and visit the Okawauchi Sanso garden.
We’ll then have lunch at a local restaurant, including a main course, a side, and a drink.
After 4-5 hours, the tour will end at the starting point.
