On this day trip to Kobe from Osaka, we will explore one of Japan's largest cities and its Western influence. We will visit main neighborhoods and monuments.
Day Trip Details
The trip begins at Exit 2 of the Kintetsu Nippombashi Station. Upon arrival in Kobe, we will visit Maiko Park, which offers views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, the world's longest hanging bridge. We will stroll along the Maiko Marine Promenade, featuring a glass floor with unique vistas of the Seto Inland Sea.
Next, we head to the Port of Kobe, a vibrant shopping district by the bay. Visitors can enjoy views of the port and the iconic Kobe Port Tower.
We will then explore Nankinmachi, Kobe's colorful Chinatown, where you will have about 1 hour of free time to enjoy Chinese cuisine at local food stands.
Afterward, we will visit Sorakuen Garden, a traditional Japanese garden known for its design and historical architecture, featuring ponds and stone bridges.
Finally, we will conclude our day in the Kitano Ijinkan-gai district, famous for its Western-style houses from the Meiji and Taish? periods. We will return to the starting point after a total of 9.5 hours.
