Unlock the best views of Japan's ancient capital with a ticket to Kyoto Tower, the tallest building in the city and a must-visit for anyone exploring Kyoto!

Why Visit Kyoto Tower?

Kyoto Tower, standing 131 metres (429 feet), provides stunning panoramic views of Kyoto and even Osaka. Completed in 1964, it symbolizes a blend of tradition and modernity in Japan. Designed by architect Mamoru Yamada in collaboration with Kyoto University, its sail-like structure is engineered to withstand earthquakes and typhoons. The tower features restaurants, souvenir shops, and the Tower Kyoto Hotel, all beneath the observation deck offering remarkable views.

The Best Vantage Point in Kyoto

At 100 metres (328 feet) above ground, the observation deck at Kyoto Tower provides unrivalled views. You can see iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Kiyomizu-dera Temple, T?-ji Temple, and Hongan-ji. Also visible are landmarks such as Chion-in Temple and Sanj?sangen-d?, illustrating the contrast between Kyoto’s ancient temples and modern skyline. Clear days allow for views of the Osaka skyline, making the tower a prime spot for sunsets. Telescopes are available for a closer look at the city’s landscape.
