Tour Details

We will meet at Uozaki Station in Kobe to start the sake tour of Nada, known for its sake production. The tour includes a walk through the area, beginning with the Sakura-Masamune and Kenbishi distilleries, two of the oldest in Japan.

The first stop is the Kiku-Masamune distillery, established in 1659, recognized for traditional crafting methods like taruzake, which is sake aged in barrels. Depending on availability, visitors may tour the workshop where artisans craft these barrels. This 1-hour visit will include a tasting of traditional sake alongside 2 additional options chosen from 6 premium varieties.

Next, we will visit the Sake Hakutsuru Museum, the largest sake distributor in Nada. The tour will feature an interactive museum explaining various tools and equipment on display. A tasting of 2 types of Daiginjo will also be provided.

Following the museum, we will proceed to Nada Go Go Sake Tokoro, a former production site of Kenbishi. Here, participants will enjoy an final immersive sake tasting, sampling 3 selected types paired with a snack.

The tour concludes with a walk to Mikage Station, marking the end of a 3.5-4.5 hour experience.
