The Oslo sightseeing bus is a practical way to tour the oldest capital in Scandinavia. You can hop on and off at any of the stops to explore the city at your own pace.

Route and stops

The Oslo tourist bus follows a route of one hour and a half in total with 9 stops near principal tourist spots. The open-top double-decker bus provides English language recorded commentary about the sights during the trip.

Essential stops on the route include the Royal Palace, the Opera House, Akershus Fort, Ibsen Museum, and the Parliament building.

How it works

The ticket is valid for 24 or 48 consecutive hours from the first use. For example, if activated on Monday at 3 pm, it remains valid until Tuesday at 3 pm. During this period, you can get on and off the bus as many times as you want.

When booking, you'll be asked to select a start day, but you can use the service within 3 months from the selected date.

Timetable and frequency

Red line operates from 10 am to 4:30 pm, every 30 minutes. The total duration of the tour is 90 minutes.
