Guided Tour of Osuna

This guided tour of Osuna will allow you to discover the history and main monuments of this Sevillian city. You'll walk through the historic center and enter the Asunción Collegiate Church, the Encarnación Monastery, and the Archaeological Museum.

Description

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Camino de los Cipreses, at the car park next to the Old University and the Collegiate Church of Osuna. We'll start by visiting the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Collegiate Church, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, where we will explore its 16th-century Renaissance architecture, Baroque art, chapels, the sacred museum, and the ducal pantheon.

Next, we will visit the Encarnación Monastery, a historical cloistered convent that once served as a hospital. Emphasis will be placed on the 17th-century tiles in the church.

As we continue through the center of Osuna, we will discuss various aspects of its history, including its significance as a filming location for Game of Thrones. Our next stop will be the Torre del Agua Archaeological Museum, showcasing Iberian ceramics, Roman utensils, and Visigothic art.

The tour will conclude by admiring the various palaces and ancestral homes, finishing at the Plaza Mayor after a total duration of four to four and a half hours.
