Excursion to Sandy Turtle Conservation Center
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Mahahual Lighthouse and head to the Sandy Turtle Center, where we will learn about turtles and ocean pollution.
After a 40-minute drive, we'll arrive at the center for a talk on the impact of plastic on the oceans and the center's efforts to care for the environment. We will then participate in cleaning Mahahual Beach to contribute to the fight against ocean pollution.
After cleaning, we will enjoy a selection of fruits and pastries for a snack.
Following the snack, we will proceed to the second part of the activity, focusing on the world of sea turtles. We will learn about the white turtle and the loggerhead sea turtle from accompanying biologists. The experience will include exploring the beach for replicas of turtles and their nests.
Finally, we will return to the starting point to conclude the activity after a duration of 4 hours.
