In this excursion to the Sandy Turtle Conservation Center at Mahahual Beach, you'll learn about the turtles of the Mexican Caribbean and environmental care.

Excursion to Sandy Turtle Conservation Center

At the designated time, we will meet at the Mahahual Lighthouse and travel to the Sandy Turtle Center to learn about turtles and ocean pollution.

After a 40-minute drive, we will arrive at the center for a talk on the impact of plastic on the oceans and the conservation efforts underway. We will then participate in a beach clean-up at Mahahual Beach, contributing to the fight against ocean pollution.

After completing the clean-up, a selection of fruits and pastries will be provided for a snack.

Following the snack, we will begin the second part of the activity, focusing on the world of sea turtles. Biologists will guide us through the characteristics of the white turtle and loggerhead sea turtle. We will also explore the beach for replicas of turtles and their nests.

Finally, we will return to the starting point, concluding the activity after 4 hours.
