Excursion to Sandy Turtle Conservation Center

In this excursion to the Sandy Turtle Conservation Center at Mahahual Beach, you will learn about turtles and environmental care. We will meet at the Mahahual Lighthouse and travel to the Sandy Turtle Center.

After a 40-minute drive, we will arrive at the center for a talk on the impact of plastic on oceans and their environmental protection efforts. Following this, we will participate in a beach clean-up at Mahahual Beach.

After the clean-up, a selection of fruits and pastries will be provided as a snack.

Next, we will dive into the world of sea turtles, focusing on the white turtle and the loggerhead sea turtle, guided by biologists. We will also explore the beach in search of turtle replicas and nests.

We will conclude the activity with a return to the starting point, completing a duration of 4 hours.
