At your chosen time, we'll meet in Piazza Castello in Otranto, located in the heel of the Italian boot. From there, we'll embark on a walking tour of the city's iconic structures.

We will admire the façade of the 15th-century Aragonese Castle and discuss the various historic civilizations that have influenced Otranto, including the Romans, Lombards, Ottomans, and Venetians.

As we walk through the town, you'll see churches, the harbour, the beach, the Monument for the Martyrs of Otranto, among other sites. We will also enter the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Annunciation, known for its remarkable Romanesque architecture, where you can observe the ancient mosaics and learn about their significance.
