Join us for an evening exploration in Oudtshoorn's veld, where we will seek out fascinating nocturnal wildlife, including scorpions, using specially designed UV flashlights – an experience that promises to be both unique and thrilling!
Nocturnal Nature Walk in Oudtshoorn
We will convene as scheduled on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn to embark on our evening adventure. Once daylight fades completely, it will be the ideal moment to uncover the intriguing nocturnal creatures that inhabit the Klein Karoo valley.
Equipped with UV flashlights, we will journey through the Oudtshoorn veld, characterized by its expansive flat terrain, primarily covered with low grass and shrubs typical of southern Africa. As we traverse this unique landscape, keep your eyes peeled for scorpions, spiders, frogs, and snakes that may be nearby!
Although venturing out in the dark can feel daunting, rest assured you will be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who will enhance your experience.
After reveling in the sights and sounds of the moonlit veld, we will conclude our tour and return to our starting point.
