Day Trip to the Inhotim Institute

At 8:30 am, we’ll pick you up at your hotel in Ouro Preto and drive to Brumadinho, home of the Inhotim Institute. Get ready to visit the largest collection of contemporary art in Brazil.

After a 2.5-hour drive, we’ll arrive and start a panoramic tour of the Inhotim Institute. On the minibus, we’ll explore the main areas of this open-air museum and stop to take pictures of its contemporary artworks.

The institute features a botanical garden with over 4000 floral and arboreal species, spheres in ponds, glass pavilions with stunning views, and benches designed by Hugo França. More surprises await at the Inhotim Institute.

Additionally, we’ll access a natural reserve of Mata Atlântica, a neotropical plant formation at risk of extinction. Before leaving, you’ll have one hour of free time for lunch.

We'll conclude the excursion at 4:30 pm back at your hotel in Ouro Preto.
