Day Trip to Tiradentes & Congonhas
At 7 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ouro Preto and start this excursion to visit two historical cities in Minas Gerais.
The first stop will be in Congonhas, founded in the 17th century by the first settlers in search of natural resources. We'll have a guided tour of the old town.
We'll stroll through Congonhas, viewing the Chapel of the Steps and colonial houses. We'll also visit the History Museum and the Sanctuary of the Good Jesus of Matosinhos, showcasing European Baroque influences.
Next, we'll head to Tiradentes, where its colonial buildings reflect similar origins. In Tiradentes, we'll see the old jail, the church of San Antonio, and visit a museum to explore the city’s history. After the tour, you'll have two hours of free time for lunch on your own.
We'll finish the tour at 5 pm and return you to your hotel in Ouro Preto.
