Day Trip to Tiradentes & São João del-Rei

After picking you up at your hotel in Ouro Preto at 7 am, we'll head southwest to São João del-Rei. The minibus ride will take about three and a half hours.

Upon arrival, we'll embark on a guided tour of São João del-Rei, a town established in 1713. We'll stroll through the streets of the historic center.

During the tour, we will visit the churches of Carmen and Pilar, notable examples of Brazilian colonial baroque art. Additionally, we will explore the Tancredo Neves museum-memorial to learn about this Brazilian politician from São João del-Rei. You will have an hour of free time for lunch.

Our next stop is Tiradentes, also founded in the 18th century. We'll tour the old town and its main monuments, including the church of San Antonio and the old jail. We will also visit the Padre Toledo Museum, a manor house reflecting the style of noble houses in Portugal.

We will conclude the excursion at 5 pm, returning you to your hotel.
