A World Heritage City and the former capital of Minas Gerais feature in this tour of Ouro Preto and Mariana. We'll see impressive baroque churches, visit two historical museums and enjoy unforgettable views of the mountains surrounding these towns.

Ouro Preto & Mariana Tour

After picking you up at your hotel at 8:30 am, we'll start a tour of Ouro Preto to discover all the charms of this World Heritage City.

We'll first visit the church of San Francisco and walk through its chapels, revealing the secrets of this work by Aleijadinho. Afterwards, we'll go to the Carmo church and visit the Inconfidência Museum, which provides insights into the history of Ouro Preto since its founding in the 18th century. Before leaving, we'll visit the Oratory Museum.

We'll leave an hour and a half for lunch before boarding the minibus to Mariana. Here, we'll visit the Minas Gerais square for panoramic views of colonial houses and mountains.

The guided tour in Mariana includes the churches of Carmen and San Francisco, the Town Hall, and the exterior of the Pelourinho where colonial penalties were enforced. The tour concludes at 5:30 pm, and you'll be dropped back at your hotel in Ouro Preto.
